Okay, another question: whatever happened to Lisette Melendez? She
was
supposed to have released a new album , but it never came out. The
last thing she's done (that I know of) is "Time Passes By" from the
"Freestyle Lives" compilation (I believe this was also released as a
single in 1996 although I haven't actually been able to find one).
Does
anyone know what label she's with (if any) and if she's recording?

I guess after "Freestyle Lives" she realized freestyle is dead and
doesn't make any money and doesnt have many supporters??? Salsa would
be a better money maker.

Lisette is a very talented artist,who has been singing professionally
since the freestyle classic"make Noise"in the late 1980's.She also
helped revive freestyle in the early 1990's.Was also one of the very
few artists of Freestyle to appear on MTV.Lisette has sung
successfully in Freestyle also R&B.Know she is back and with the great
new salsa producer sergio george.Freestyle showed her american
side,being born latin with english as everyones primary language.Know
with salsa she shows some of us her Puerto Rican heritage."algo de mi"
is a slammin salsa diva track and the duet with Frankie Negron is
simply a beautiful classic song.If your a fan of Lisette or salsa this
is a must to have in your collection.Hopefully she keeps on making
great Freestyle and Salsa cd's in the years to come.
